Ceremony style
Phuket Villa Weddings
You rent an empty property and build a wedding inside it. Complete privacy and full design control, with more supplier coordination than a resort wedding.
Who it suits
- Groups of roughly 20–120 who want the whole property to themselves
- Couples who want a specific design rather than a house style
- Families staying together for several days
How the day is structured
- Multi-day use
- Most villa weddings run across three to five nights, with a welcome dinner and a recovery day.
- Ceremony
- On the lawn, terrace or beach the villa fronts.
- Cocktails
- Usually poolside while the ceremony space is reset.
- Dinner and party
- In one of the villa's own spaces, with a curfew set by the property.
Design considerations
- A villa arrives empty. Furniture, tableware, lighting, dance floor, bar, kitchen equipment and generators are all brought in and costed.
- Lighting design matters more here than anywhere else, because there is no venue lighting to fall back on.
Planning considerations
- Minimum stays apply in high season, often five to seven nights.
- Event fees are charged on top of accommodation and vary widely by property.
- Noise curfews are real and enforced by neighbours; confirm before booking a band.
- Access roads on Phuket's headlands are steep. Guest transport and supplier vehicles need checking.
Investment
What a wedding in this format costs depends on the guest count, the venue and the week you marry. Rather than publish a figure that cannot be true for everyone, the investment is shown to you as you design the wedding itself.
