Ceremony style
Phuket Elopements
Just the two of you, a celebrant and a photographer. Short to plan, but the choices matter more, because nothing is hidden behind scale.
Who it suits
- Couples marrying without guests
- Couples who want the day to feel private rather than staged
- Couples combining the wedding with a longer trip through southern Thailand
How the day is structured
- Preparation
- Hair and makeup at your accommodation, usually two to three hours before the ceremony.
- Ceremony
- 15–25 minutes. Vows, an exchange, and a symbolic or Thai blessing element if you want one.
- Portraits
- The largest part of an elopement day. Usually one to two hours across two or three settings.
- Dinner
- Private dinner at a villa, restaurant or headland setting.
Design considerations
- With no guest sightlines to manage, location choice can be more ambitious: rock formations, viewpoints, long empty stretches of sand.
- Flowers are concentrated into a bouquet and one small ceremony detail rather than spread across a set.
- Photography and film carry the memory of the day, so they usually take the larger share of the budget.
Planning considerations
- An elopement can be arranged in a shorter lead time than a full wedding, but photographers and celebrants in high season book out months ahead.
- If the marriage is to be legal in Thailand, the district office process is a separate weekday appointment in Phuket Town and needs embassy documentation first.
- Two witnesses are required for a legal registration. We can arrange them if you are travelling alone.
Investment
What a wedding in this format costs depends on the guest count, the venue and the week you marry. Rather than publish a figure that cannot be true for everyone, the investment is shown to you as you design the wedding itself.
